奥泉伶菜さん（加柴・岡本研）の研究成果が八木記念学術奨励賞を受賞しました！

大学院博士課程バイオニクス専攻の奥泉伶菜さん（加柴・岡本研、日本学術振興会特別研究員DC1）が執筆した研究論文「Resveratrol is converted to the ring portion of coenzyme Q10 and raises intracellular coenzyme Q10 levels in HepG2 cell」（J. Clin. Biochem. Nutr., Vol.75, No.2, 118–124, 2024）が、日本酸化ストレス学会より八木記念学術奨励賞を受賞しました。

本研究では、赤ワインなどに含まれる抗老化物質「レスベラトロール」が、細胞内でエネルギー代謝や抗酸化作用に関与する「コエンザイムQ10」へと変換され、結果として細胞内のコエンザイムQ10量が増加することを明らかにしました。この成果は、食品由来成分による健康維持や老化予防の新たな可能性を示すものであり、今後の応用研究への展開が期待されます。
